HISTORY The Foundation was established in 1983 to advise and guide all major tax deductible contributions, gifts, and bequests given to benefit Pathfinder Services, Inc. It is a not-for-profit organization as defined by 501 (c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. BOARD The Board of Directors is a seven member volunteer board who devote their time and money to funding the programs that serve individuals with disabilities and individuals who need support to be independent in the Pathfinder Services, Inc. community. Pathfinder Services, Inc. is a community organization formed in 1966 in Huntington, Indiana to serve the needs of persons with disabilities. Over the years it has grown to include housing, childcare, low cost automobile and housing loans, vocational training, manufacturing, and recycling as it continues to provide traditional support for people who have developmental disabilities. Pathfinder Services offers programs in 18 Indiana counties. |

The Pathfinder Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to fostering opportunities for people with disabilities, support to Pathfinder Services, Inc. and encouraging gifts and endowments. The purpose of the Foundation is to advise and guide all major tax-deductible contributions, gift, and bequests given to benefit Pathfinder Services, Inc (PSI). In addition two of the major goals of the Foundation are to provide funds for the benefit of those served by PSI and to identify and provide funds for others with mental and physical disabilities not served by PSI. At times it is in the best interest of the Foundation, PSI and the community to reach out to help other not-for-profit agencies and/or others with mental and physical disabilities not served by PSI.
