The Recycling and Refuse Division of Pathfinder Services Inc. presented a Community Partner Award to Homier Distributing Inc. on Tuesday. The award honored Homier Distributing for being Pathfinder Services first commercial garbage customer in March of 2004. Steve Shoemaker of Homier Distributing received the award from Pathfinder Services Recycling and Refuse Division Director Steve Stanley.
Homier Distributing was the first customer to utilize Pathfinder Services all in one service in Recycling and Refuse through Garbage and Cardboard pick up. Homier Distributing began utilizing the all in one service in March of 2004. Pathfinder Services is a local not for profit organization specializing in working with people with disabilities. The Recycling and Refuse Division of Pathfinder Services Inc. has provided recycling to Huntington County since 1990, and added garbage collection in 2004.
