Local Company Keeps 291 Tons Out of Landfill - Jan. 30 '08 Good Humor Breyers received recognition by R & R, the Recycling and Refuse Division of Pathfinder Services, Inc. for their participation in the division’s recycling cardboard program. In 2007, a total of 291 tons of cardboard containers were recycled in to press board, which is approximately 41 semi trailer loads of product that was not deposited into the Huntington County landfill, extending the landfill’s useful life. “This is a great example of how R & R can promote recycling while reducing waste costs for the business at the same time.” said Steve Stanley, Director of R & R, the Recycling and Refuse Division of Pathfinder Services, Inc. “We are fortunate to have waste disposal and a recycling facility that are both locally owned and operated. Other counties have to use transfer facilities which increases the cost to the consumers,” said Jeff Stockman Business & Sales Manager for Pathfinder Services, Inc.
