Apply to be a Direct Support Professional
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work directly in the homes of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or at our day services program sites for Pathfinder Community Supports.
DSPs act as mentor, teacher, and support to people with intellectual and other types of developmental disabilities, assisting them to live, learn, and work successfully as an active part of their communities. DSPs also provide support as needed in homes, day service locations, and/or community settings, to assist clients in reaching their ultimate potential while always taking into consideration their dreams and goals for their own lives.
Qualified applicants must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, ability to climb stairs occasionally, ability to physically restrain, lift, and/or assist individuals we serve. Qualified applicants must also be available to work a flexible schedule that could include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
