Amramp donated a 16 foot ramp to Abilities Abound, an event hosted by the Northeast Indiana Disability Advocacy Coalition on Friday, May 6th at the Holiday Inn across from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
The ramp allows for the keynote presenter, Paralympian Mark Wellman and Dancing Wheels-performers at the event, safe access to the stage for their presentation and performance to the audience of an anticipated over 100 people. The ramp will also allow for the five recipients of the Embolden Enrichment grants awarded at the event safe access to the stage.
“Amramp specializes in providing accessibility solutions for special events throughout Indiana,” stated Ronda Smelser, Regional Sales Manager for Amramp. “In support of Abilities Abound and Mark’s and Dancing Wheels efforts at the disABILITIES Expo, Amramp Huntington is dedicated to making both events a success.”
“This particular event needs the ramp for just two hours, however we recently installed a ramp for an event at the Radisson hotel in Indianapolis, which required a full weekend rental,” Smelser added. “Whether you need a ramp for weddings, graduations, voting booths, or other special events Amramp has cost effective and timely solutions for those needs,” Smelser concluded.
Amramp allows for organization’s like those who make up the Northeast Indiana Disability Advocacy Coalition, families and businesses to rent or purchase an ADA compliant, low cost, modular ramp, featuring a patented non-slip ramp surface. The unique, perforated steel mesh ramp surface has an open pattern, allowin
g moisture to drain, reducing the possibility of a slippery ice surface or mold build-up.
Amramp offers free home evaluations and meets with each client to custom design the ramp. Ramps are available in days, not weeks or months, and most installations take less than a day.
