Business Team Challenge Route Finalized for Huntington Bicycle Challenge on September 17th

Planning for the Huntington Bicycle Challenge continues in Huntington as the Business Team Challenge 27 mile route is finalized. The course will join the five tour rides all set to take place on Saturday, September 17th at Pathfinder Services, 2824 Theater Avenue in Huntington. The cycling event host sponsored by Markle Health & Rehabilitation is a fund-raiser organized by Pathfinder Services, Parkview Home Health and Hospice and 3 Rivers Velo Sport Bike Club.

Proceeds from this event go to two causes: Pathfinder Services to assist teenagers with developmental disabilities with scholarships to attend summer camp, and Parkview Home Health & Hospice’s quality, end-of-life care for the terminally ill.

“The business team challenge will take riders on a scenic route of northern Huntington County (Insert route information here Rose that you would like included),” states Rose Meldrum, Huntington Bicycle Challenge Coordinator. “Anyone who registers for the 27-mile Business team challenge can ride any or all of our 21, 34, and 39 mile tour courses at no additional charge allowing for riders the opportunity to go over 100 miles if they wish,” Meldrum concluded.

The Business Team Challenge will take place on Saturday, September 17th as well and is a special 27 mile on-road course. Businesses, universities, bike teams and individuals may enter a team of three to six riders and the cost per team is $250. Businesses will compete for first, second, and third place team medals.

This year there will be 3.5, 10, 21, 34, and 39 mile tour rides. The 3.5 and 10 mile tours are $15, and the 21, 34, and 39 mile tours are $25 if pre-registered before Monday, August 29th. After the 29th all tours increase $10. Anyone who registers for the 21, 34, and 39 mile tours is welcome to ride all three routes, 94 miles! All tour courses are on-road.
