Our Highlighted Positions
Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) – Will work directly in the homes of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or at our day services program sites for Pathfinder Community Supports. DSP’s act as a mentor, teacher, and support to people with intellectual and other types of developmental disabilities, to assist them to live, learn, and work successfully as an active part of their communities. DSP’s also provide supports as needed, whether in their homes, day service locations, and/or community settings, to assist clients to reach their ultimate potential, while always taking into consideration their dreams and goals for their own lives.
Qualified applicants must have valid Indiana Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, ability to occasionally climb stairs, ability to physically restrain, lift and/or assist clients, and availability to work a flexible schedule which could include Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Pathfinder Kids Kampus Lead Teacher: High School Diploma with Child Development Associates Credential (CDA)or CDA equivalent; or High School Diploma with at least 60 completed non-credit based hours of training leading to CDA; or College Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary Education; or proof of 6 completed credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary Education. Minimum of 18 years of age. Minimum of 21 years of age to work with Infants and Toddlers. Preferably experience in working with children. Ability to lift children and equipment. General knowledge of nutrition, health and first aid. Health examination, criminal check and proof of being free of tuberculosis.
