Our Highlighted Positions

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Direct Support Professionals will work directly in the homes of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or at our day services program sites for Pathfinder Community Supports. DSPs act as mentor, teacher, and support to people with intellectual and other types of developmental disabilities, to assist them to live, learn, and work successfully as an active part of their communities. DSPs also provide support as needed in homes, day service locations, and/or community settings, to assist clients to reach their ultimate potential while always taking into consideration their dreams and goals for their own lives.

Qualified applicants must have valid Indiana Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, ability to occasionally climb stairs, ability to physically restrain, lift and/or assist clients, and availability to work a flexible schedule that could include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Full time, part time, and substitute positions are available. Family/Child Educator: Provide a structured playgroup program for children 6 weeks to 36 months of age with emphasis on developing greatest potential for each child. Qualified applicants should have Infant and Toddler CDA or a Bachelor or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education with the desire to obtain an Infant and Toddler CDA. It is preferred that applicants have at least one year of experience in working with children. Applicants must have the ability to deal with behavior implications of developmentally disabled children and be patient and have an understanding of a child’s ability to progress, and the ability to lift children, adults, and equipment. Applicants must have a general knowledge of nutrition, health, and first aid. Health examination, criminal check, and proof of being free of tuberculosis are required.
