Pathfinder Community Connections is excited to host a ribbon cutting and open house at a newly rehabilitated home at 709 West Packard Avenue in Fort Wayne on November 15th. It starts at 1:00pm, with the open house concluding at 4:00pm.
The once vacant home was acquired and rehabilitated by Pathfinder Services thanks to funding received from NeighborWorks® America and the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation through their Priority Markets Initiative Award. The Leading the Way Home Priority Markets Initiative provides grant support for neighborhood stabilization projects that are located in areas designated for revitalization to stimulate growth, stability and investment in distressed areas.
“We are very grateful for the funding from both Wells Fargo Housing Foundation and NeighborWorks America which allowed us to acquire and rehabilitate this once vacant home,” state Jan Baumgartner, Senior Director of Pathfinder Community Connections. “We are so proud to offer this beautiful house and hope that a family will call 709 West Packard Avenue home in the very near future,” concluded Baumgartner.
