Creative Abilities New Location

Pathfinder Services is pleased to announce that the Creative Abilities Art Studio has relocated to Life Church at 900 East State Street in Huntington. Through this partnership with Life Church, those served by Creative Abilities will benefit by having longer storefront hours, gaining additional health benefits, and new opportunities to be a part of the community.

Creative Abilities is fully moved into their new location and the new space provides a large activity room to create their pieces of art and home décor items, an office space and a store-front to sell the artwork made in the studio. The artwork will be sold in the Café of Hope during their open hours, 8 a.m.- 9 p.m. Monday- Friday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday, and 12:30 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Sunday. The majority of the profits from artwork that is sold goes directly to the artist.

This partnership with Life Church also provides the artists free access to Champs Academy, a gym connected to the church. Artists will work with a trainer to develop exercise plans to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They also hope to have more volunteer opportunities through Life Church for the artists who are served.

Another benefit of the move is that Café of Hope is close to Pathfinder Services’ State Street location.  This allows more of the individuals served by Pathfinder Community Supports to be a part of the Creative Abilities Art Studio.

The Creative Abilities Art Studio provides creative opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities who are served by Pathfinder Community Supports’ Day Services program. Anywhere from 18 to 25 individuals take part in creating art each day.
