Home-Based and Prenatal Program

Home-Based

Early Head Start is a free year round program that serves income eligible pregnant mothers and children up to their 3rd birthday. Each child who attends Early Head Start receives child development and heath services, and parents are involved in every aspect of the program.

Benefits Include:

  • Free home visits when you need them, at your home once weekly with a family/child educator
  • A support group every other week

Prenatal

The Early Head Start Prenatal program helps eligible pregnant women receive instruction and a further understanding on the medical care they and their growing babies need.  A prenatal Family/Child Educator works with mothers to provide information about pregnancy, child birth, and caring for a new baby.

Family/Child Educators Provide

  • A support group every other week
  • Works with expectant parents individually, including home visits, phone calls or personal appointments in the mother’s home
