Pathfinder Services Moves Toast to the Arts Live Event to Online Art Auction
Huntington, IN – Pathfinder Services is moving the annual in-person Toast to the Arts fundraising event to an online art auction that will kick off on Thursday, August 20, with a special video on social media.
Toast to the Arts is held each year to celebrate and raise money for the Pathfinder Services Creative Abilities Art Studios. Originally set to be held at Two-EE’s Winery in Huntington with an artist reveal of a painted BMW of Fort Wayne, the difficult decision was made to move to an online auction for the health and safety of the artists and others we serve at Pathfinder Services, our staff, our sponsors, and all of our guests because of COVID-19.
“We are thrilled to announce that Two-EE’s is going to debut a special wine Slushee for Pathfinder Services on August 20 and donate $1 from each one sold that day to the art studios,”
says Christina West, Donor Relations and Events Manager at Pathfinder Services.
“We are grateful for their understanding of our situation and their willingness to help us raise money for our art program.”
The online art auction will kick off at 6 p.m. on the Pathfinder Services Facebook page with a special video of our artists at work, some of the pieces of art up for auction, and some special toasts from our sponsors, who have generously agreed to continue sponsorship with the change from a live event.
The auction will run from Thursday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m. to Thursday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m., with winners announced on Friday, August 28.
Our Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/pathfinderservices.
With location is Huntington, Plymouth, and Wabash, the Creative Abilities Art Studios provide creative opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities who are served by the Pathfinder Services Community Supports Day Service Program. Artists paint, sculpt, sew, draw, and craft jewelry, and earn money by selling their works at the studios and fundraising events.
