Now Hiring: Community Arts AmeriCorps Member


  • At least 18 years of age on the first day of service
  • A citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A demonstrated commitment to national and community service
  • A dedication to completing all service requirements
  • Access to reliable transportation (public transportation or personal transport) to/from assigned Service Site
  • Clear a National Sex Offender Public Registry and criminal history background checks


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to serve effectively and collaboratively with diverse staff, beneficiaries, and communities and value differences of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and social economic circumstances
  • Capable of working independently and as a team player
  • Willingness to learn new skills and share that knowledge with others
  • Basic computer skills and computer and internet-based programs for use in communication and record-keeping requirements


  • Over the next ten (10) months, Member-Fellow will engage in activities designed to enhance the programs and services of Pathfinder Services. Member-Fellow will fulfill a key role in the organization by increasing the capacity of the Community Art Center to integrate capacity building strategies and carry out the organization‚Äôs vision and mission. This will be done generally by:
  • Engaging community members to complete market research
  • Serving as an ambassador for Pathfinder Services and the Community Art Center
  • Conducting research on similar communities who have a vibrant arts culture
  • Fully integrating into the Pathfinder Services staff to ensure optimal training, guidance, and tools
