Nearly 50 children and adults from Pathfinder Kids Kampus child care center gathered to explore the wildlife and nature preserve at the Izaak Walton League on Hauenstein Road on Monday, October 17th.
The children participated in a hayride, made smores, made bead necklaces, participated in a scavenger hunt, explored different kinds of leaves and participated in other creative learning through exploration. Children were given first hand experience on the importance of exploring and learning from nature while respecting it at the same time.
Pathfinder Kids Kampus would like to thank the Izaak Walton League for graciously donating the usage of the building and grounds to Kids Kampus for the day. Be sure to check out the League for their November Trap and Shoot on the 20th. We would also to thank Patty Hladik and Lisa Wissinger for starting the fire and providing multiple hay rides around the grounds.
“The Izaak Walton League donates the building and grounds for our fall party each year,” stated Lisa Mettler, Administrator at Pathfinder Kids Kampus. “The Creators, Voyagers and Investigators classrooms took this opportunity to creatively learn and appreciate what this beautiful fall day had to offer. We would like to thank the Izaak Walton League for this opportunity.” Mettler concluded.
