Prize Winners Announced Huntington Bicycle Challenge A Success!

The Huntington Bicycle Challenge sponsored by Markle Health & Rehabilitation took place Saturday, September 17. One hundred twenty five participants enjoyed bicycling on six different road courses. There were 50 Business Team competitors and 75 Scenic Tour riders. Approximately $5,500 was raised in profits that will benefit two causes:

  • Pathfinder Services to assist teenagers with developmental disabilities with scholarships to attend summer camp. 
  • Parkview Home Health & Hospice’s quality, end-of-life care for the terminally ill.

Comcast sponsored the top prize given to the person who collected the most pledges. That award was a BlueRay DVD Player and it was presented to Roger Torres of Huntington. Winners of door prizes were as follows: Nick Hancock won a Pliers set donated by Sears, Betty Lane won a Biking Jersey donated by Midwest Bicycleworks, Roger Torres, Roger Lane, Jerry Bailey and Lorrine Bailey all won pan pizza’s donated by Pizza Hut Corp.

The Huntington Bicycle Challenge would like to thank all of the sponsors of the event including title sponsor Markle Health & Rehabilitation.
