Faces of Inclusion July 2022
Greetings from Pathfinder Services! I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the joys of summer – sunshine, extended evenings, and time with family or friends. Our, Summer at Last, Teen Camp is enjoying another year of learning the local culture, enjoying time out of school, and growing new friendships. I want to thank our friends at the AWS Foundation for making this camp possible for the teens in our community.
We anticipate a great evening at Toast to the Arts, the annual fundraiser for our art studios. This event will take place on Thursday, August 18, at the Chapel Road Retreat Center in Andrews. You can purchase tickets by scanning this newsletter’s QR code or visit pathfinderservices.org to learn more. We hope you’ll join us for a fun night of live music, beautiful artwork, and local drinks.
Your support is appreciated more than you know, and I hope to get the opportunity to meet you in the coming weeks and months ahead. You can stay up to date with the exciting things happening here by visiting our website or following us on Facebook or Instagram. Thank you for being a friend!
Thank you,
Kasey (Kohlmorgen) Davis - Chief Development Officer
Toast to the Arts
Event Spotlight
Toast to the Arts is almost here, and our online auction has been a big hit! This year we are taking it a step further and have snagged an exclusive gallery showing at the Arts Included Gallery inside the Huntington Arts and Entrepreneurial Center for our online auction pieces.
This gives online auction goers the chance to check out the art in person while also getting to experience the refreshed gallery space—a fun, vibrant, and whimsical exhibit setup through July. The actual online auction is August 10-17th, leading up to the main event on August 18th. Don’t waste time and get registered for Toast of the Arts today!
Join us at Toast to the Arts to bid on these exceptional art pieces and more!
Neighborworks Week
NeighborWorks Week is about “Empowering Communities for Success.” Pathfinder Services is a proud Charter member with NeighborWorks America. Working together to contribute, empower, and grow our communities. This year for NeighborWorks Week, we had the pleasure of spending time and giving back to two outstanding new homeowners who went through the Pathfinder Homeownership Center to purchase their homes.
Qeyocha Green and David Stabler are both kindhearted and well-deserving new homeowners, so the Pathfinder team stopped by to present each of them with a $500 Lowes gi card. Moving into a new home, there are little things you forget about, and we hope this gi helped both of them be a bit more comfortable at home.
In addition, Pathfinder Homeownership Center launched a Video Campaign, highlighting our mission to build community and empower people to become homeowners. It highlights why we care and why we do what we do. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. NeighborWorks Week was a great success celebrating community, celebrating our mission, and celebrating our new homeowners. We congratulate all our new homeowners and look forward to another great year in homeownership!
Happy Retirement Sheila!
Sheila Crawford worked for Pathfinder Kids Kampus for 32 years. Sheila loved being a teacher. “I got to come to work and have fun every single day. I got to play with bugs and play dough. I got to do what I love.” Thank you, Sheila, for your 32 years of dedication.
