CONGRATULATIONS to Gary Smithley for Going the Extra Mile, Pathfinder appreciates your hard work and everything you do outside of what is expected!
“Gary goes way beyond his job description as a maintenance tech 1. He helps out his co-workers during the day, after hours, and on the weekends, if needed. He is the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. I have personally witnessed Gary take time and talk with the people we support to see how their day was going on multiple occasions. He always asks if there is anything he can do to help. Gary went to visit one of the people we support, as she was not doing well, on his own time. I told him that was very nice for him to do that. His response was that all the people we support were family to him. Later the next day, that person sadly passed, and Gary decided to be a pall bearer for her at her funeral. He is a true inspiration of what a kind-hearted person should be. Thanks, Gary, for all you do!”
"Gary is always willing to step in and help. He ensures he's available for emergencies and/or arranges someone to assist him. He is always willing to talk through maintenance issues and ensures tasks are completed. Completely off the wall...I had pureed hot food that sealed the Ninja blender. I called to ask him for ideas, and he offered to come over to assist. He arrived and solved our problem so the individuals could sit down for breakfast."
