March GEM Award Winner!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate your peers for our monthly GEM Award! We love being able to celebrate and acknowledge a different employee every month who embodies the values and mission of our organization by going the extra mile every day. Per usual, it's hard to choose just one person, so please help us celebrate our next recipient.
Congratulations to our November GEM Award recipient, SAM WINGO!

"I firmly believe that Sam Wingo's energy and efforts to improve the quality of life for those we serve goes unrecognized too often. Sam Wingo is very dedicated to the people we serve and the teams that support them. She is always willing to lend a hand in a time of need. Sam brings high energy and a wonderful attitude. She goes out of her way more often than not to create meaningful relationships and events for those we serve. She has handled many obstacles independently and did not let that deter her from the big picture. Sam regularly assists fellow staff members with tasks and training on top of her regular duties without complaint. She is very authentic to who she is and is not afraid to advocate for her peers and those we serve. Sam understands that those we serve have different interests and works to provide many options to all. She has created and organized events that cater to those interests and to try and get more community involvement. Sam worked with everyone in Wabash County to set up a Bingo night as a part of SAG to not only introduce our company and population to those who in the community, but to create a positive activity for all involved. Sam is instrumental in so many aspects of Wabash County and I could not imagine Pathfinder without her. I wholeheartedly believe she deserves some recognition for all the things she has brought to Wabash County."
"No one embodies the GEM Award more than Sam Wingo. She has served as a supportive resource, leader, role model, and friend to many throughout our organization. She doesn't hesitate to step in and help no matter if it is inconvenient or time consuming. She is a team player and advocate for both the people we support as well as her fellow co-workers. She models and encourages the use of PCT skills and tools. In addition to her formal responsibilities, she also works additional direct care hours and helps out any way she can. She also helps act as a liaison between counties and helps bridge people together. Pathfinder Services is better because Sam is here. Sam specifically exhibited going the extra mile when there were two people we support transitioning into nursing homes. She singlehandedly helped pack up their belongings, move them into the nursing homes, and unpack them in the peoples' rooms. Sam stepped up to help in this way to provide the best care and support possible during the transition to make it easier and smoother for all."
