November GEM Award Winner, Erin Burris!
This holiday season, we have so much to be thankful for. All of our employees leave a unique stamp on their positions and contribute so much of themselves to our organization, and we are grateful. Thank you to everyone who has been actively going the extra mile in your roles as we all contribute to the overall success of our organization, and an extra thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate those people for this month's GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Award! Please help us celebrate and congratulate our next recipient!
“Erin is a great candidate for the GEM Award because she always goes above and beyond in her work. She is friendly, helpful, and supportive of her co-workers, and they all enjoy working with her. She is flexible and adaptable, as she travels between the Huntington and Fort Wayne offices and meets the needs of both teams. She does not seek recognition or praise, but she deserves it for her consistent and excellent performance. Erin is a valuable asset to our company and a joy to work with! Erin is a clerical assistant, but that title does not capture the full extent of her contributions. She is an integral part of our team, always ready to take on any task with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She also brightens up the office with her fun and creative sense of style. Erin goes above and beyond her duties and deserves to be recognized for her excellence. She helps cover the front desk at the FOC, creates various reports, always seems to find that document that seems to be hidden, makes a mean spreadsheet, and communicates positively with our customers and VR staff. She is always proactive, reliable, and efficient. She is a gem in every sense of the word.”
“Erin has a major role in the Financial Opportunity Center. She works with the Pre-ETS program as well as the Employment Services program making sure files are correct as well as documentation and billing is sent in. Erin works behind the line but is always interested in the successes of the people we support as well as her co-workers. Erin has been a big help making sure we had things ready for CARF. The list goes on and on how she helps support our team and Pathfinder Services. She is always the first to greet you with a smile and a hello. Erin made sure all my Employment Specialists had their files in order for CARF. She sent out check lists and went through the files making sure we had every document needed in the files. She worked extra hours to make sure CARF went without any problems. She did this while still maintaining her regular job duties. Erin is a great support to our team. She works behind the scenes, but the work she does not go unseen.”
“Erin is the rock of our department. She does several things that are not asked of her, but she does it anyways. She goes the extra mile. She’s always willing to help and give that extra input if need be. She would appreciate the gem award!! Erin is a person who deals with pain on a daily basis and still helps anyone that needs help with anything. When I had my hip surgery and I came into the office, she would go to the front to get the master key just so I wouldn’t have to go the extra steps, even though she was probably hurting worse than me. Erin does tasks for our department that no one else knows how to do! She is a big asset to our success of the department.”
