Toast Recap 2023!

Posted 09/11/2023

Last month, we celebrated art and hosted another successful Toast to the Arts event. This event is always a fun and uplifting night; this year's event did not disappoint. We gathered in fellowship with artists, family, friends, community leaders, sponsors, and fellow employees. We had great conversation, good drinks, and a fantastic meal while enjoying the excellent work of our artists from the art studios in Huntington, Wabash, and Plymouth.

We are proud to announce that we raised a total of $12,653.04 for our Art Studios! What does that mean, though? It means that…

115 artists in three counties can continue their work, and 45 actors/performers get to hit the stage in the Acting Out theater troupe.

Toast to the Arts is about creating exposure for these artists; they have turned that exposure into real opportunities, and every dollar raised is used to the fullest!

They were commissioned for several art pieces for a large health care provider in Fort Wayne, Acting Out snagged a performance invitation for Taste of the Arts in Fort Wayne; they are members of several area markets and art shows, they have full storefronts in Huntington, Wabash, and Plymouth with a featured display at the Pathfinder Arts and Entrepreneurial Center, and finally Acting Out hosted a triple feature movie premiere and red-carpet event at the Huntington 7 Theater.

To call Toast to the Arts a success is an understatement. Looking beyond what these artists and performers have already accomplished, they have created something more… HOPE! They are showing the world that no matter the barrier, they WILL overcome it and chase their dreams! That people with a disability can achieve greatness!

"We put hope in someone's heart tonight, and that means more about the success of this event than any dollar total." Shared President and CEO Danielle Tips.

Chase your dreams, fight for your future, discover what makes your life worth living, and do it all to the fullest!
